Iran ready to cooperate with Italy in tourism: Official

Iran is ready to cooperation with Italy in the field of tourism, Head of Iran-Italy Parliamentary Friendship Group says.

Both sides can collaborate in supporting the tourism industry, putting artistic and cultural exhibitions on display and enhancing collaboration to enhance cultural and historic partnership, Parvaneh Salahshouri said during a meeting with Italian Ambassador to Iran Mauro Konchater on Monday.

She also pointed out the two countries’ rich culture as well as civilizations, and noted that history of bilateral ties has always been a suitable ground for joint activities.

Salahshouri, who is a member of the Iran Parliament from Tehran, announced the Iran-Italy Parliamentary Friendship Group’s readiness to boost cooperation with its Italian counterpart, adding “parliamentary collaboration will reinforce both countries’ relations in different fields.”

Considering cultural cooperation as a suitable ground to increase the friendship between the two nations, she said Iran Parliament welcomes improvement of Tehran-Rome relations.

For his part, the Italian ambassador expressed delight on establishment of Iran-Italy Parliamentary Friendship Group, adding Italy’s parliament hails developing ties with the Iranian counterpart in all sectors.

The Italian embassy has put parliamentary delegations exchange on its schedule and believes such a move is helpful for both sides, Konchater also noted.

Taking the likely areas of collaboration between the two countries in consideration, the ambassador expressed hope that good dialogue may promote cooperation between the two nations.

Hoping to improve the mutual cooperation by officials of the two sides, he also said Italy is prepared for improving cultural ties and increasing collaboration in environment field.
